SFU Noon Series
November 15, 2007 12:30 PM
We are thrilled to preview the first two of five new dances, which will form part of Voice in Motion/Bodies that Sing, our collaboration the Vancouver Cantata Singers.
"Idyll" (choreography by Anthony Morgan)
A lush homage to pastoral memories of childhood inspired by the music of Tormis.
"Hedgehogs and Wallpaper Flowers" (choreography by Rob Kitsos)
An intricately detailed fast paced romp set to the music of Bergman.
"TWO, The Late Edition" (choreography by Judith Morgan, music by Ted Hamilton)
TWO was inspired by notions of pairing communicated through hundreds of photos from mass print media reflecting our fractured world. TWO, The Late Edition now features a fifth performer and condenses and reinterprets the movement of the original into a fast paced explosion of form.
For tickets call 604-874-3416 (ext. 2).
